Welcome to Lafayette County Speedway
Lafayette County Speedway, located in Darlington, Wis. has a nearly 70-year auto-racing legacy. The slightly banked three-eighths mile clay track has been in existence since the 1950’s. Racing continues with a full weekly schedule, including two races at Grant County Speedway and several specials throughout the season. Scroll down for the latest information! RACES ARE CANCELED! Another inch of rain over night & ground already saturated. All the work to get water off the track the last two days is gone.

This race WILL BE RESCHEDULED. Enjoy your weekend.

Races for June 28 Canceled

Rained out with this forecast :( rescheduled Burkie Memorial for July 26th. Races are canceled for tonight.

With rain until Noon today and then more forecasted later this afternoon into tonight, we have to cancel.

CANCELED MAY 10

To say we are disappointed to make this call is an understatement.
But we are forced to CANCEL TONIGHT, MAY 10TH.
So much rain this week; the track is just saturated.
We can't, in good faith, get this track ready and safe for racing.
We don't want junked cars or a rutted track.
We ARE rescheduling the Jim Burke Memorial Race presented by F&K Tire Service for Friday, June 28th.

BUT, we received 1.5 inches of rain last night AND now there's an 80% chance of severe storms this afternoon and tonight.

Remaining schedule:
- Darlington Aug. 4, Aug. 11. Lancaster Aug. 16!

Fair race 2023 canceled

Well folks... in best interest of our drivers, our workers and our fans we are going to cancel tonight's fair race. We can't even get on the track for a few more hours to start trying to pack it and there's a good chance (Red says 80%) that the road grader will have to come out during the race IF we could even get it race ready. We are not willing to put the cars or the show on the line. We know it takes a lot of money and hours to get cars race ready, and we want to do what's best for our drivers and fans.
It would not be a good show IF we could even get the track ready. So, we are canceling tonight's races.
HOWEVER, the American Legion's beer stand will still be serving ice cold beers, the Knights of Columbus will have their amazing burgers and the Optimist will still have their perfect curds. It is FREE gate Friday at the fair and the carnival is open! PLEASE come support the county, the kids and these great organizations.
OH and MUSIC!! The best DJ, Hot Rod, will be jamming tonight. See you all soon. And, thank you for understanding.
